The inaugural World Indigenous Cancer Conference was hosted by Menzies School of Health Research and the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Brisbane Australia from 12th - 14th April 2016. Over 300 delegates from 15 different countries registered to attend the conference.

The second World Indigenous Cancer Conference was held in Calgary, Canada on 16-19 September 2019.

The theme for WICC 2019 was “Connecting Across Knowledge Systems: Respect, Reconciliation and Reciprocity”.
