We have some important updates about W.I.C.C 2026 that may affect your plans. We want to be upfront about what has changed, what stays the same, and what you may need to do.
In the spirit of manaakitanga (care/respect) and transparency, our commitment to uplifting Indigenous-led cancer led solutions remains at the heart of everything we do.
What’s changing:
W.I.C.C 2026 will now be held in Auckland at Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau, a community-owned venue (Waka Pacific Trust), instead of Rotorua.
The conference dates are now 21 to 23 April. The pōwhiri (welcoming ceremony) will open Day 1 on the morning of 21 April, and the previously scheduled travel day has been removed.
Due to an invoicing error, GST was unintentionally omitted from existing paid registrations. A GST adjustment will be applied to those registrations.
Accommodation and tour packages are no longer available through the registration process. You will need to arrange your own accommodation (we will share nearby options soon via email).

How this might affect you
Your travel and accommodation plans may need to change. We know this can be frustrating, and we want to make that transition as smooth as possible. We are working with Auckland accommodation providers near the new venue and will share options for you to book your stay soon.
If you had already paid for accommodation or tours through our earlier registration process (prior to 3 February 2026), a refund is being arranged for you through the original booking agent.
You also have more time to decide. The cancellation policy has been updated to give existing paid delegates an extra 10 days to cancel and receive a full refund.
If the GST correction on your registration creates any difficulty, please get in touch. We will work through it with you.

For accommodation booked outside of our previous booking agent, you will need to arrange any changes or refunds directly. Your insurance provider may be able to help with costs related to this venue change.
Bookings made directly with airlines, hotels, tour operators or other providers sit outside of our registration process, so any amendments will need to go through them. The same applies to travel insurance claims.
We know these changes may mean extra steps on your end, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We are committed to supporting you where we can.
